Default small dump trailer

Hey fellas, spring is back and time for me to think about the projects i need to get done this summer. I am going to be installing hundreads of feet of french drain around my home and both my neighbors homes. Because of where we live the soil is not good for anything but fill due to its high rock and clay content. When I am digging out the drain lines and drain fields i will have alot of dirt to "spoil" since we will be going back in with gravel and good soil. I am wanting to build or buy a small dump trailer that can be moved around with a large 4 wheeler or lawn tractor. the dirt will all be dumped in various places to correct areas of concern with water flow and standing water, this prevents me from just using a normal size dump trailer. I plan on loading it with the back hoe then driving it to the dump site with a 4 wheeler and returning to start all over.

well, you could check out || Nichols Trailers of Wilton, Maine || Welcome! || or Mountain Goat All Terrain Trailer by S&T Mfg. buy trailer, options online. and see what they have. They are not cheap but you certainly get what you pay for in the trailer world. I would think Nichols trailers would most likely custom make you one. But again, it will cost you for sure..

I sell Taylor Pittsburgh products and they make a very nice small dump trailer. It is a four wheel design with walking beam style axles on it. You can either drop the gate on it, or hinge it at the top and chain the bottom to spread with it. The one I have here is made for a tractor with remotes but they do make a manual pump option for them too. It is 50" wide x 70" long x 13" high and rated at 1.5 tons.

I have a larger Country Manufacturing trailer that is well built and reasonably priced. I see they now have a line of ATV trailers Country Manufacturing, Inc. Off Road ATV Trailers. Might be worth a look.

I am looking a at dump trailer myself, but let me mention something.

I am looking for a larger model so that I can both move dirt, rocks, etc around the property, and hook it up to my pickup to move a load of trash to the dump.

If the only thing you are ever going to do is move fill and dirt, a small one is great, but it is really nice to be able to take a load to the dump and not have to spend an hour getting it out of the truck.

if i had the space to use a full size i would just buy one of those, i almost bought a full size one a few months ago. This project involves some very tight spaces and a small atv drawn dump trailer would be perfect. Someone on here built one but i cant remember who it was, the thing was sharp and would be perfect for what im doing. im drawing plans today since everyone seems to be so proud of the ones they sell.
