I just ordered a 16' flatbed trailer w/24" dovetail extension. 2 drop down
weight supports in rear-- 3500# tandem axles, brakes on both axles, 82" wide , treated floor -painted, stow away ramps new tires, 5" channel- price $ 1720.00 is this about right? gonna haul a 4520 jd machine. thanks for any input! |

If the trailer has 3500 pound axles, it can haul 7000 pounds, MINUS the weight of the trailer. How much does it weigh?
For instance, I have a similar trailer. It weighs 1500#, so I have a usefull load capacity of 5500#. Subtract your ~4500# tractor and I still have room for 1000# of implement, etc... |

Sounds like a sturdy trailer, is that 14 plus 2 feet or 16 plus 2 feet = 18'

Conventional springs or torsion axles? at that price it must be springs

about right on price for new ones. we bought one 5 years agor for 950.00, 16' + 2' dove, twin #3500 axels, wood deck, ramps and brakes on 1 axel. now days i have seen them from 1700 to 2200 for the same trailer.

Just went through extensive trailer shopping. That is a very fair price...a pretty good price, actually.
