Default Livestock trailer plans

It time to get ready for a new project and I think I want to build a livestock trailer. Does anyone have any plans?

Now thats funny Keith

Really, I am in the trailer business and with all my contacts I can not build a trailer cheaper than I can buy one. For example I wanted a 18' x 82" wide standard 7K landscape trailer. I could get one for $860 with used tires and no brakes back in 2003. I had a set of brakes on the shelf I could add myself. I could not buy the steel, axles, and wheels for that. Did not include wood, paint, lights, safety chains, ball couple, ect, ect. I do not know how they do it. The trailer I bought had a spare and ramps also delivered 1 hour from my house.

Long and short, unless you have all the parts already you can not build one cheaper. Here is a pic of it.

I was wanting to build one over the winter. I get free metal all the time from work so I think the cost to build one wont be that bad. Plus I can build it like I want it

Free metal and spare time. It doesn't come any cheaper than that, go for it.
Here is one plan for about $35. Master Plans Trailer Plans Store - trailer plans, trailer part, trailer hitch part, boat trailer part, Tandem Axle Trailers, utility trailer part, brake controllers, horse trailer part, Gooseneck Trailers, snowmobile trailer part, trailer axle part,
Good luck.

Give us an idea of what sizes you are considering and I'll bet you get a lot more ideas coming your way.

Don't forget to include the cost of your medical deductible, transportation to and from the burn ward after you set the garage on fire, physical therapy, and worst of all, listening to your wife say I told you so.
