| Beater Trucks. Lets see em! I'd like to see everyones beater/knockaround vehicle. I don't currently have one, but am thinking about getting another. I had a 97 chevy truck I used as my knockaround, but i hit a horse with it. Then I rebuilt it, painted it nice, and put a 6'' suspension lift on it. So then it was too nice, and I didn't want to beat around on it anymore so I sold it.
But I have been thinking about getting another if I decide to keep my truck I have now. I am really wanting a 70-76 Chevy Blazer, but I am not sure yet.
So lets see pics of everones beater/knockaround/farm truck.
Here is the ol' chevy after a particular muddy day at the hunting land, and the wife all dressed up. lol
This truck had 249,000 miles on it when I sold it.

| Re: Beater Trucks. Lets see em! Does this count? 1988 (I think, don't really remember) V6, 5 speed, 400,000 km. Note the blue ratchet strap holding the gas tank in. Drops more gears on a grade than my loaded dump truck, lol. |

| Re: Beater Trucks. Lets see em! My 79/77 Ford F250 4x4. I received it for free after an aquantance gave up on it after it quit while plowing his driveway. It is a 79 from the cab forward, and a 77 from the cab back[sectioned the frame due to severe rust]. Some of its other custom features include a free 78 250 bed with some rust, a 16 gallon fuel cell, holley electric fuel pump, adjustable regulator, 37x12.50x16.5 Good Year wrangler MT surplus hummer tires, and custom floor boards.
Running gear consist of a 400m, B$W T-18 trans, NP 205 T case, and Dana 60 front and rear axles with 3.54 gears , rear has welded gears, and a family of spiders living in the hole where the drivers sun visor used to mount. |

| Re: Beater Trucks. Lets see em! Here is mine- I keep after it but it is a 99 w 170K miles on it. I use it for towing and banging around town now. Unfortunately, I am going to have to rip into the tranny (6 speed) to replace some bearings.
BTW, your bride is a super cutie!! |

I have recently come into possesion of a realy nice clean 79 250 4x4 rolling frame with Dana 60's front and rear. I have grown so fond of my old beater 250, that I am planning to obtain a nice southwestern 2wd 150 or 250, and put the body on the nice 250 4x4 chassis. I am planning on powering it with a 12 valve 5.9 cummins with a NV4500 and Divorced 205 Tcase. No fancy paint job or chrome, I dont want it to be to nice to work or drive |
