duh - now I feel dumb for not thinking of something like that myself. I spent 20 bucks on an attachment that slips over the drawbar and the lower arm to keep it from rotating. I could have done it your way with some scrap angle iron and it would have worked better!! (Course that was before I could weld....) Good idea

So simple,
and such a dandy idea. I moved my boat yesterday using just the drawbar and I don't like it when the ball tries to turn over when you reverse direction. I will build the adapter today and the only change I can think of is to make it so it will attach to the drawbar with pins or bolts. Thanks I will take a picture when I get it finished. |

Works great, and I feel a lot better with the drawbar locked in position.
Still got to do a little grinding and smoothing of sharp edges and of course painting mine orange. Thanks again amaizing how the most usefull ideas are really the simple ones. photo attached |

Here's a <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.tractorbynet.com/cgi-bin/compact/showflat.pl?Cat=&Board=implement&Number=58 955&page=&view=&sb=&o=&vc=1>li nk</A> to a thread here with a really nice and inexpensive version of what you have there which is priced under $30 without the ball. Check it out. I think it's a real bargain. I hope this helps.
