This happen yesterday morning when an equipment trailer "came loose" from an electrical contractors truck, crossed the centerline and and hit a car just off the freeway.

Little additional information was available because a fatal semi overturn on I-10 about 10 miles west had the freeway going into LA closed for 7 hours.

There was a third fatality on I-10 last night as a runaway food service truck hit several vehicles over a 5 mile stretch of I-10, killing one, and then the driver fled after rolling the truck.

Bad day in the desert yesterday.

That was my thought, too. Though, the windmills weren't there when I moved away from Riverside back in the 70's. The wind really can howl through that gap between Mt. San Jacinto and Mt. San Gorgonio; it used to be an effective way to sandblast your car.
