New Tipping Trailer
Hi Guys,
finally bought new tipping trailer today. Took almost a year to find the right model to suit tractor and then to gather up the finance to finally buy it.
Trailer is rated a 2 tonne capacity, has a 9' x 5' bed and LGP tires. Tipping ram is two stage.
The cost was £1,000 or $1,500 USD. I looked at 5 different manufactured models in the UK and this was cheaper by about 15% from the next. Added to this is manufactured by local trailer engineering works (50 miles), meant that I could pick it up myself and did not have to pay shipping or delivery costs.
I took the photographs before setting out to get it dirty

Re: New Tipping Trailer
Evening Nigel,
I noticed the two sides fold down. Are they removable?
What are you planning on doing with the trailer?
If you can explain what would have been the perfect trailer for your purposes and then how close this one is to that.
It's a nice looking rig. But why all the glass around the driver's compartment? Ya'll have weather there?

Re: New Tipping Trailer
Nice looking unit.
How about a pic of tailgate and latch assembly?
Does it have spreading chains?
I'm finishing my design to build one for tractor and truck, a dual swing gate would be nice but may go hinge top only.
