I think this thread has to be some kind of record for the most "fisrt post" new posters and the strangest also!
I recently purchased a xtra tuff trailer back in June of this year i have to say i am very pleased with it. It is a 7x18 that we use to haul our polaris ranger, the trailer has been perfect. When we went to pick it up we had a small wiring problem but they had me fixed and road ready with in 30 minutes. The people were very friendly and while waiting i had a great talk with the owner who does some hobby farming as well. The whole experince was great,I saw this forum the other day and noticed Xtra Tuff Trailer reviews upon seeing 1pooldiggers post i decided to create myself an account and speak on my friends in Eastman Ga's behalf they build a quality trailer at a great price from my experience and I hate to see someone bashing them
And another first and second post from a new member!!My husband and I are definitely on a mission. He found a couple of really bad comments about Xtra Tuff. It is just plain wrong to judge a company on one or two disgruntled people's opinions. I was led to this site since it showed reviews for this company. We have two trailers we bought from them in 2011. One is a vending and the other is a concession. We have planned to buy our third trailer from them the first of the year. I am not here to run down other trailer companies, but we have had two very poor trailers. A local man whom we know showed us his Xtra Tuff trailer and we were able to see the difference especially by looking at the interior. The interior of the trailer we had been using was a mess of staples, loosly hanging wires, and deteriorating wall covering. The Xtra Tuff trailer seemed to be well-built, so we gave them a call. Nice salepeople who knew what they were talking about. We both definitely recommend Xtra Tuff. And, yes, we own a John Deere. It's older, but that just isn't a term used by tractor owners...our tractor is "experienced."
And another one!!!!!!!!!!!Hey, I just purchased an Xtra Tuff Trailer in June 2012 & i love love love the trailer! The service was awesome & the people made me feel at home. I am going to recommend all my friends to purchase a trailer that is in the market for one.
I am a new poster and I signed up specifically to post about XTRA TUFF TRAILERS. I purchased a 7 X 18 cargo trailer that I had delivered 10/20/2012. I went to inspect the trailer prior to delivery. It's construction is what I would expect from a lower dollar trailer but good enough for the level of trailer that I knew I was purchasing so no complaints there. I have a number of conversations with the staff at Xtra tuff prior to my purchase. They were helpful and always promptly returned my calls. The trailer was delivered and when it arrived there was some minor damage to the trailer. I phoned to inform them that I was not going to accept the trailer with the damage unless they sent me an e-mail and left a voice message on my phone stating that they were responsible for the repair. The Sales manager Trent Dykes left a voice mail on my phone that day acknowledging the damage and agreed repairs and the following morning also sent me the following e-mail.

I am terribly sorry that your trailer was damaged in route to you. It is my understanding that an object was blown into it during a storm while it was in the transport companies possession. I want to assure you that we will see to getting it repaired for you. Mr. Mark Hudson is our service manager and I will meet with him this morning to get the process rolling for you. He will be asking you to get a few photo痴 for our records and he will coordinate with the transport company to see that all of the damage is repaired properly and paid for in full.
Thank you and God Bless.
Sincerely,
Trent Dykes

I allowed them to leave the trailer and I waited several days to hear back from anyone at xtra tuff. I heard nothing. I called. No answer. I e-mailed. No reply. To this date 11/15/2012 no reply to anything they must use caller ID to screen the phone calls and simply won't answer a call from my area code. Who knows. Maybe they all came down with the 30 day flu and no one can talk or type. Then again maybe not.
You can make a decision for yourself. I say if you get the trailer and inspect it with no issues then it will last as long as it lasts. However if you have a problem of any sort do not expect or anticipate that Xtra tuff will make any effort to stand behind, warrant or otherwise support the products that they sell.
YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!!!!!
WERE back again with this stuff? This time is even more suspect! Instead of a new thread about how happy or unhappy he is its another first time poster on Xtuff trailers, but this time on a Zombie thread!! This one really is the deffinition of a "Zombie tread" we just cant kill this thing??
SWMBO has put me in the market for a 7x16 dual, braked, axle ENCLOSED trailer. For new trailers Xtra Tuff seems to have a great price, ~$3K, for new. I've only found 1 review on the web, said they were OK.
I've got a place within a couple of miles of me that builds good 7x16 trailers for about $4.5K. Xtra Tuff would be about 200 miles out of my way on a trip from Va to Ms, so it's not TOO far.
So does anyone have any experience with them, good or bad?
I know there are a lot of other trailer mfg's, but most I've found are in Indiana or Illinois etc.
Very interesting - 1 post by 1pooldigger who only visited TBN for a few days and 1 dump on the trailer, two posts by others who seem to only be here for xtra tuff trailer praise.
Doesn't pass my smell test.
Posts like the replies means I'll cross that vendor off my list.
First off, sorry for bringing a very old topic to the front.<snip>
Two years, one tractor and many other major expenses later the Xtra Tuff thread raises it's ugly "first time poster thread" head again.
