Update...

My fathers F150 Eco Boost with 3.73 gears and FX4 package now has 13,500 miles and has averaged 18.9mpg since new. 10% of the miles are highway, rest are stop and go trips of 6/7 miles. About 10% are towing with a max weight in a box trailer of 7,000#.

My fathers F150 Eco Boost with 3.73 gears and FX4 package now has 13,500 miles and has averaged 18.9mpg since new. 10% of the miles are highway, rest are stop and go trips of 6/7 miles. About 10% are towing with a max weight in a box trailer of 7,000#.

What??? We are getting 13 mpg around town. We just barely break 14 on the highway. No towing or payload...

Something does not sound right. Although, those numbers are from the on-board computer. Not hand calculated...

Something is not right with your truck. My dads did nearly that pulling a 6,000# box trailer. All fuel is hand calculated and the dash thing is never off more than 1%.
