For me my 4 GM vehicle's seemed to be a royal pain in the ***** to work on. Stupid oil filter placement, crappy wiring and electrical woes, removing motor mounts to change a belt, removing 1/2 the motor accesories to change a wiper motor or squirrel cage on a blower motor, ect. You guys can have them and support a bail out government owned company.
I will give you the motors and trannys seem to be about the best eventhough I had my 4.3 blow up at less than 30,000 miles and my transfer case give up 3,000 miles later which seems to be a trend with GM trucks. Its the little nickel and dime poor electrical system woes that turned me away.

Aside from the Lambda's, I can't think of a single GM product with a bad oil filter placement. In fact, I'd say that as a whole they are about the easiest to service. From spark plugs, to transmissions to belts(most). Many GM air filters are a bit of a pain, though.
