    O-60mph in...one afternoon? Or, ever? Just can't imagine it moves very briskly, with water, gas, food (ice?) gear, luggage and people.... Cool idea though.

    Somewhere they were claiming 17-18 mpg!! It's aluminum and fiberglass and only weighs 3000-4000 lbs.
    The Corvairs with the 140hp engine were quite sporty! My sister bought a 1965 new and with the 4 speed it was fun to drive!
    In the movie "My Girl" Jamie Lee Curtis was living in one. I didn't recconize it when I saw the movie back when.

    they were claiming that the corvair's had power to weight ratio of 35-40lbs per hp. vs todays standard of 50+lbs per hp.

    so ya, off the line, sounds like the corvair has a modern RV beat.
