My 2013 Chevy 1500 4x4 Ext Cab Reg Bed 5.3 w/ 3.42 is rated for 9600# conventional trailer. Same pkg in crew cab is rated for 9500#.
The max trailer pkg if ordered changes the engine to a 6.2 and jumps the conventional trailer tow rating to 10,400 for the 4x4 or 10,600 for 2WD.

The RAM 1500 can be configured to pull just over 10,000 pounds. Please see the attached towing sheet for the 2013 RAMs.

How many miles on it now? any problems? We like the Fords cab=lottsa room.

Its got almost 25K miles on it. Its not a real high use truck. My dad is 67 and retired. No issues.

We had to order it to get all the good stuff like the 3.73 gears, high GVWR package, electronic locking rear diff, and factory brake controller.

Its a Silver Super Crew with Black leather and its a FX4.

Mid 18's since new. My father drives it. Its a 2011 4x4 SuperCrew with 3.73 gears.

I have seen 24 @ 65 & about 13 pulling a tandem axle enclosed trailer weighing about 6500#

He is doing better than me with my 3.73 SCREW 2-WD with max tow. I probably have a heavier foot and tow a lot more often than him. I am very impressed with the mileage because with my dodge Dakota I was getting 2.4 mpg less doing the same thing.

Yea, he has only towed less than 500 miles so far. I really ordered the truck the way I wanted it. He trades every 2-3 years so I was thinking ahead.

I think all the auto manufactures inflate there tow ratings so look for something you like and if possible ask to demo it for the night. Go home install reciever and give it a shot, if you like it buy it. 373 gears are a must,I have a half ton chevy with 342 gears and i tow a 5k camper but i would not long haul anything heavier. Dont tell dealer you were out towing when you return they will have a hissy fit. Good luck

All the mpg test are done at 55 in a controlled environment using real gas, no E10 crap or E85. No one drives in these conditions.

All 3 of my vehicles along with my past ones turned in a average mid way between the city and highway numbers.

My dealer has an EcoBoost hooked up to a slant load gooseneck horse trailer for people to try. I am pretty sure it is weighed down to over 10k.

The Chevy 1500 can also tow 10,400 when equipped with the max tow pkg in GM's chart. The 9600 is the pkg. I have. They are all about the same. Just a matter of preference.

That's still about 1/2 ton less than a F150.

What you also have to watch is the trucks GVWR. Many are low. So by the time you fill the crew cab you are maxed out so no room for pin weight of a trailer.
