For those with the 3.5EB, looking at an SCrew 6 1/2 bed 4x4 (I need a 6 1/2 bed) how is your empty mpg?
Do you notice a difference between 3:55 vs 3:73?

They get good mileage, but the reliability is suspect. My neighbor has one he's selling because it has left him stranded three times and it just got it back from a two week long visit at the dealer. Totally disgusted with it.

They have had their issues but ford is working on them. Tsb for timing chains and the like, improvements for 2018 EB's.

For the amount on the road, you only hear the bad, not the good.

I live 10 miles from work on rural 2 lane. Back and forth to work I get about 17 mpg. 75mph on the Interstate I get 18-20. A lot has to do with how heavy your foot is. I drive pretty conservatively. If the wife was driving it, you could knock a couple of mpg off of those numbers. I have 3:55 I believe. Mine is a '12 with about 60,000 miles. No problems yet.

I thought you only liked the tundra's?

I have a 14 with a 17 mpg lifetime average. I have had a flawless 25k miles, love the power at 7200 feet...

No complaints.

I have 3.73 gears and my father and uncle 3.55. I can tell a difference in grunt.

My truck is a 2012 4x4 3.73 Screw with 119,000 miles. I average 17.8mpg.

My Fathers is a 2016 4x4 3.55 Screw with 15,000 miles. He averages 19.3.

I drove his truck Thursday 50 miles round trip to the doctors for heart procedure but have never towed with a 3.55 version.

As for problems my family has 4 in the fleet. Not a single issue with any.
