Hello all,
I am looking for a small ( 40 HP ) utility tractor 4wd / FEL / BH.
To be used as a chore tractor on the farm. Moving dirt, grading, fencing,
rotary mowing, cleaning buildings, minor land clearing, replacing water
hydrants, maybe a haying tractor, the usual stuff. I will be building a house
hopefully in a few years. (think landscaping, tree planting, water garden)
I have looked at most all the brands, been reading specs, and
have test drove a few. I was leaning towards a Mahindra 4110.
My last stop looking is at TYM. When I drove by last time I saw
that one of my local (within 60 miles) Mahindra dealers now carries TYM.
For some reason I really like the TYM tractors.
The 400 and 450 look to be very similar. These are the
differences I see in these two tactors.
+--------------------------------------------------+
TYM 400 TYM 450
Engine ( Kubota ) V1903 V2203
Engine cu.in. 113 134
Engine HP 43.0 45.0
PTO HP 36.5 38.0
Transmission 12F/12R 16F/16R
Implement pump capacity, gpm 8.4 7.8
Steering pump capacity, gpm 3.38 3.15
Maximum flow, gpm 11.78 10.94
+--------------------------------------------------+
Looks like the smaller tractor has a slightly higher hydrolic
pump output. The larger one has the 16 speed transmission.
Am I missing something? Wondering why they would have two
models so close in specs.
Any opinons on these two tractors? Reasons to choose one
over the other?
I did read Chipperman's post regarding these two models. Just
looking for more / additional information. Maybe an update
from a current owner.
I need reassurance before spending this much money ....
