T554 tym

Hi All...

Just bought a new T554 TYM with 0 hrs ...What a great little tractor.I've put 35 hrs on it in the last two weeks so i called the dealer for her fifty hour lube change.The dealer told me filters were 275.00 for 4 filters plus oil and hyd fluid..I said the filters must have gold linings in them.Any of you people have cross reference numbers that aren't as pricey? Two of the filters are yamnar and the other two are tym..All spin on....Fuel filter being the most expensive 74.95...

Congrats on the new tractor. Any likes or dislikes about it. Does the exhaust have a slight chlorine odor like diesel cars and trucks. I would take the filter numbers to NAPA and see if they ca cross reference them.

No smell at all...like the tractor...only problem I had was blew up the battery and alternator first day
..they put extra work lights on and the alt wouldn't take it.. The alt that it came with was 55 amp and wouldn't keep up..they put a 105 amp one on and new battery and it works perfect...lots of power

I do just purchase one myself. And I just did my own 50 hrs service. My is an hst model
and if I am not mistaken you do also need to replace the water seperator as well to honor
the warranty . Luckily my dealer gave me the hydraulic filter when they deliver my tractor
so I only need to order the oil, fuel, hst, and water seperator filter. Cost me $200.00 including
shipping.

found out 1291-50-35153 crosses to 1334mp---$13.09 there is an other number that it crosses to but lost it that was a fleetguard number for $4.05
1553-23-02100 crosses to p550162.

I would not use after market hydraulic or transmission filter
cuz the bypass being smaller then the oem. That will effect
the flow rate. For oil and fuel filter its ok to use after market.
you only doing filter change in the 500 hrs interval. So its not
much money saving . Its may void your 5 years warranty. Its
just my 2 cent.

What's funny about that is the dealer uses after market filters but crosses off the number and puts his over it

Everything crosses but the fuel filter..go figure it's the most expensive one

Some thing fishy about your dealer there. My dealer process my order but
was shipped directly from the distribution center in NC.
