I need someone to haul a compact tractor about the size of a Ford 8N from Fredericksburg VA to just outside Knoxville TN.. The tractor is app 2100 lbs no front end loader. This would be a great job for someone that runs this route and runs back down I-95, I-81 to I-75 empty etc.....

Try uShip. You ought to be able to get a good rate for that route from a consolidator. I had a tractor shipped 2,000+ miles and saved hundreds over any other shipping method I could find.
