I sold my Hobart 400 plasma and am trying to decide on a new miller 875 or a slightly used 2050 (30 hrs) for $1600. I am leaning towards the new one for inverter tech and latest upgrades. I plan for this to be my last upgrade in the plasma arena. Short of a cnc table (dream sequence). Any thoughts?

I would go with the new Inverter Tech. But if you need to cut that thick I think you are looking at a little more money for the 865 maybe around 2000.00.I just bought a small Hypertherm Powermax30. 1/4" is all I need to cut. And I needed to upgrade my Mig so money was gettinga little tight. And I cut 1/4" all day and 3/8 a little slower. I would spend a little more for the Miller Inverter 865 or Take a look at Hypertherm. They are 2 great cutters Consumable life is a lot better with Inverter. Tony

I have the 2050 and absolutely love it. No problems or complaints. It is a little on the heavy side if your constantly lugging it around but it can be moved by one person. if you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Hope this helps

Ryan
