Northern Industrial Arc 200 230 Volt, 200 Amp Arc Welder, Model AC4180 | Arc Welders | Northern Tool + Equipment
anyone have or use one of these?
was just browsing the northern catalog and man o man.. that is cheap amps.
with normal entry level welders being the lincoln and hobart ac only stick models, that have now risen to about 300$ new, and used to be about 235 ( hobart at tsc ) to 250 ( lincoln at lowes ) from about 5 years ago when i checked prices ( and 229$ campbel hausfeld stick welder )...
wow.. 150$ makes you really set back and think if you are looking for an entry level welder for incedental use.
that's as cheap as buying a 30 year old tombstone at a yardsale nowadays.
anyone got specs on them? like duty cycle.. which I will just guess is quite low.. 180a / 10% wonder what it is at 90-100a which is where alot of welding for regualr farm stuff happens.
