Built a welding table. I'm in need of a good source for heavy duty table brake system. Any help greatly appreciated!

Get QUALITY casters with wheels.

Or buy Floor Locks. Some examples:

You can always build your own brakes. WT 20.jpg

Do you mean brakes on the castors or a sheetmetal brake mounted to the table ?? maybee just me being confused.....

I used a couple of scissors jacks, but the table is so heavy, I'm finding I don't really need brakes.IMG_1786.jpg

That's a good idea too! Anything to save a little $. I think making my own is the way to go. I figured at least $200 if I buy the brakes.

Anyone use trailer jacks?
Placed near the casters it would allow you to immobilize the table once it's where you want it.
Added benefit would be the ability to level the table and get four legs in contact with an uneven surface.
