New toy on it's way. Ordered this lathe, and stand. The stand won't be available for pickup until April 16th. Either the Long Shore men's slow down has them stuck on the dock:rolleyes:. Or those Asian kids are getting unionized!:D I've never run a lathe before. Installed several over the years, but never run one. Should be fun to learn how.:cool2:

Very nice.
I've thought of getting one but have only needed to have something made on a lathe 4 times in past 20 plus years so can't justify.
Enjoy the new experience. Now you can make rear wheel spacers for everybody.

That will go right along with my new (to me) ironworker. Too bad we live on opposite ends of the country. Between you and me, we'd have a full service shop.

And just think of all the projects we could build together!:cool2::cool2::cool2::cool2::cool2:
Interested in Sawmills? lol

My latest build is a Sawmill Trailer.
Could have used this "new" baby though.
I'm in the middle of another Sawmill trailer build and don't have time to go pick it up even though it's paid for.

Member here Furu bought a saw mill from your neck of the woods. I haven't seen it yet. Just this week end he e-mailed me and ask if I had ever Tig welded a band saw blade back together. For some reason he had to cut his. I have but only port-a-band blades. I've worked in few saw mills here in the North West, some of those band saw blades are huge:shocked:. North end of the county there use to be a Pope & Talbot saw mill. We installed an adjustable 4 blade band saw there. I think those blades were 10" to 12" wide.

In the early 1980s I bought a little Scotchman iron worker, never used it. Few years later I sold it.
