I can not find any online reference to the diameter of a 10 pound spool of wire. So am I correct in assuming that a 10 pound spool of .035 Lincoln Innershield NR-211-MP is 8 inches in diameter?

From my search it seems to be on a standard spool. What is your concern?

Around 10-3/4" for the standard spool.

There are some slight variations, but typically -

4" spool, solid wire - steel, 2 lbs. Aluminum - 1 lb.
8" spool, solid wire - steel, 10-12 lbs.
12" spool - plastic spool, solid steel - 33 lbs. Steel wire frame spool, up to 44 lbs.

I don't use flux core, but it would weigh slightly less. HTH... Steve

8" is the standard size for bench top MIG welder spools. Lincoln also has 14lb ready reels of their wire but they use a different adaptor.

Thanks for the replies. A 10 lb spool is what I will get. I stumbled across Hobart's spool explanation page and found this info.
