Has anyone heard of any problems with the rear PTO of the SC2400 ? I currently own a 2004 Deere 2210 which is very similar to the sc2400 but with many complaints of broken rear PTO housings costing $6000 to repair I'm looking at dumping the Deere for something without that costly design flaw.

From what I have heard it is much more about the implement on the 3 Point that causes the damage. The "limited" Cat I hitch if hooked up to a PTO driven implement - without modification to the length of the PTO shaft - was what was causing most issues. The "too long" shaft would push back into the tractor in certain situations, causing the damage.
