Hello everyone, this is my first question on these forums and I am hoping someone can help me out. I'm not totally a noob on tractors, but totally a noob when it comes to the hydrolic systems on them. I know to keep the fluid at full and that is about it!
I have a yanmar 2200 guessing around early 80's year wise. It has 2 tanks for hydrolic fluid, 1 infront of sead at transmission, other under seat for 3pt I believe. I am trying to install a FEL off a Iseki tractor, with some mods of course. I have remade the plates it bolts too and have it mounted up and everything, only thing I have left to do is hook up the juice (hydrolics) to it. The FEL I believe is an open circuit (again, noob!) because it has a cutoff valve on the "in" line. It does blow air through when the valve is set to the on position the air will come out the "out" hose when no joysticks are in use. So I need to know 1, can/should I take the cutoff valve out of the picture and just hook hose to joysticks and to pump line directly with quick disconnects? Next 2, how the the bloody crap do you install the FEL hoses to the pump of the tractor? I've read that you cut a space out of the small line and use 90 degree fittings, and hook the "in" line from FEL to the side going to the pump, and the "out" FEL hose to the side going to the back guessing to the 3pt system. I have the Koyle diagram printed out if that is the correct way to install it. I believe the joysticks had PB on them, not for sure, but there is a place for a 3rd hose to be going out, but it has been sealed off and only has 2 hoses coming from it. A "in" and "out". I do not know the model of Iseki it came off of, so no info on that part. Lastly 3, where is the best place to cut into the lines on the pump?
I've heard from people around here (we really have NO yanmar dealers here) that you just T into the small pump line for the "in" on FEL and the big line to "out of FEL. My brain just don't see that setup working at all, to me both FEL and 3pt would never work cause they would never build pressure up?? *scratching head* I do NOT want to blow that pump up or the FEL so I am looking for you people that maybe has more knowhow than I do about this.
One more thing on the side, will 1/2 in compression fittings work on the 12mm small line from pump?? Noone around here has metric!! Half the FEL hoses are metric and half is standard. Just using lots of tread tape to join the two. *rolls eyes* Wasn't me, got it that way...
Thanks for any help and hopefully it will come to me ASAP Will be buying parts tomorrow sometime. Thanks again everyone.
