I watch the valves go up and down when one is down (open) I adjust the other one that is closed and ready for adjustment, no pressure on it. I do this till all are adjusted. Call me crazy but it seems to work for me with old vw's and tractors at least so far in the last 10 years. tractor only just recently. I figuer no two valves are open at the same time on the same cylinder and that the cam has a good bit of low spots instead of lift.

Just checked the L manual, everyplace the specs are mentioned, there is a (cold) next to it. It ain't a race car, its a 2500+/- rpm diesel tractor.
