I need to change out a blown light bulb in the panel of my YM1601D. The charging indicator light does not come on when I push the check button. What type of lamps/bulbs do they use?? How do you get to the lamps??

Thanks
Frank

On my 1610D, the charge light would illuminate when the key was in the run position, with the engine in the off position. You should be abled to reach the bulb by removing the access panel in front of the shifter handle, although it's a bit of a twisted reach in and up.

How many TBN'ers does it take to change a light bulb? :D :D :D

Frank, I don't know your answer. The bulbs used on 70's Yanmars are proprietary, and are only available from the aftermarket parts people who post here occasionally. I don't know if Yanmar continued that odd bulb up into your years.
