Have located what I believe to be a suitable front tire for my YM2010D w/FEL.

The tire is made by a company from Thailand, Deestone, and they have an F1 model: d402, in 6.00x14 It's advertised as a 6 P.R. tire, and hopefully will provide better service then the "OEM" (?) 6-14 that are currently mounted. Mfgr calls it a Tractor Tire, Retailer calls it a Tractor - Loader tire.

Anyone use this tire or Deestone products previously? They seem to be well distributed in Asia, but no significant distribution in the USA

- Hoping this will prove to be a higher duty tire than what I had. I feel a bit foolish using a 4WD tractor with FEL (& RC) mounted that is at rated tire capacity unloaded.

I stock both the 6.00 - 14 Deestone and the 6 - 14 Firestone, I sell a lot more of the Firestone than the Deestone. I guess you know that the 6.00 - 14 is a good bit larger than the 6 - 14.

Danny
P.S. I've not had any problems with the Deestone.

Danny, I do not know much about the Deestone other than the info below, and I did not know that it's quite a bit larger. My main interest in the Deestone model is due to it's stated "6-P.R.", as my 2010D w/FEL+RC is at the sidewall load rating without picking up any load, with the OEM 4-ply tires.

Couple of questions, if you can:

1) how is the Deestone larger? Rolling diameter? is this indicated by the "6.00" as opposed to the Firestone's "6" nomenclature?

2) can you please identify the sidewall max load rating/PSI of the Firestone 6-14 and the Deestone 6.00-14?

3) Price differential?

I spoke with Danny and found him to be knowledgeable and helpful. The OEM tires are Firestone/Bridgestone 6-14. They have a rolling diameter of between 73" - 77" Danny measures new as 77", website says 75" and my badly worn fronts (Chinese "MIT" 6-14) measure 73".

Informal test of lead to the front ratio is fairly neutral. In order words, doesn't appear to lead or drag on the front with current tires.

Apparently, the Deestone 6.00-14 have a RD of 85", so I have to decide if it is more important to have safe and reliable front tires or be able to safely use 4WD and less safely use FEL.

The F/R Ratio is about 0.60. There are many varieties of 24" tires that I could use to maintain the ratio, if I bought new rears. But while the oem rears are certainly old, and have minor cracking and crazing, they're not bad yet...

Very few clean decisions in life, are there?
