inline heater

   / inline heater #21
Usually excess fuel washes down the cylinders reducing compression and increasing friction. It also wets down the glow plug if the engine is so equiped.

Many vehicle manuals will specify cranking times and indicate starter damage may result if cranking is excesive.

Up here in the frozen north dipstick heaters are not considered feasable for warming a cold engine. Portable hot air heaters may be used in usually diesel or propane form with tarps covering everything in.

Tom,
It's very likely that it will fit. Take a look at the engine and see if there are some plugs on the side of the engine block that would take a 3/8" ratchet drive (square shaped hole in center). I just used my 3/8 ratchet drive with an extension and turned a plug out. If you can do that, and measure the plug diameter, I can compare to the plug I removed to see if the heater will fit. I had two of these plugs on the exhaust side of the engine block.
