Evening again folks; Im just ironing out the wrinkles befor this weekends first run and I noticed the 3 Pt Hitch Lever Moves with vibrations; theres a wing nut screw with a rubber bushing that looks like it should hold the lever in place but doesnt hold anything; the rubber may be worn or is missing some piece.
Is there a friction adjustment that you can make for the 3 pt hitch lever so it stays in place? or should I just tie it off with a rope or bunjie cord? Suggestions? Teigrek had the same question / problem on his ... he added to another thread ...
It seems to hold all the way up and all the way down where I think its in a free float position where the impliment would follow the ground contours not locked in position to the tractor ...

Does anyone of you has the same hitch controller? In my lever does not lock, it moves quite freely and can not be set in a particular position. My guess is that at the lever should be some friction lock -limiting freedom of movement. I have an idea how to do it, but I'd like to see how it looks in the original version.
The friction control mentioned should be where the red arrow is. The wing nut at the blue arrow is movable so you can use it as a stop when lowering the three point. See if there isn't a hole in the control arm to match the slot.
I think this drawing of the 1700 control has what Kays Supply is talking about. Yanmar Tractor Parts: THREE_POINT_CONTROL
