Re: Need advice on my YM1301D
Oh believe me you are not alone I am all about doing it right
I have only one way to do things and thats as good as I can possibly do them with the tools at hand.
I might even take the measurements and just find plain old replacement bushings on the internet they make millions of bushings. I have rebuilt all kinds of old things that had no replacement parts available just looking at catalogs. On king pins on cars and trucks we used to have to reem them to size and fit up until the plastic el-cheepo crap and independent suspensions and ball joints came out. fwtw
With that said I also have pretty good idea of what a person can get away with over 40 years of fixing mechanical things for a living...I can tell you the metal parts will not know any different if you were to take a triangle file and file a few grooves from top to bottom where grease can channel thru and clean it good. I might even do it with a dremel and a small round burr bit and make a spiral channel or 2 and sand the edges of the grooves down they dont need to be "perfect" just fit properly and lube
