Well he may need several, 3810 rear and 3110 motor, but if there the same one will cover it all, either he has or has no turbo to worry about.

Well one thing he has going for now is one of us can probably scan and post pages out of our manuals when and if he needs them until he gets one of his own.

Once again let me say how much I appreciate the help and support you all have given me on this issue and others. If all of us acted the same way about every problem, the world would get a whole lot better, very quickly.

I do have the I&T YM-1 manual like I said and it does have exploded views of most of the systems. Car Doc's offer of help if I ever need it is certainly appreciated and I know where to come if I get stuck. I do wish there was a comprehensive maintenance schedule though and maybe summary of fluids and their capacities. Stuff like that. Maybe that kinda thing is in the Operations Manual?

One of the points that still has my interest piqued about the history of my tractor is the 3110/3810 question. Like I mentioned in the original thread about this tractor, the letters "YM 3810" are definitely cast into the transmission housing below the left deck plate. That is the letters are raised. However, there is a flat place on the same housing right near the clutch petal itself (above the deck plate) where the letters "3110-[something]" are stamped. :confused2: The identification plate for the engine very clearly says "3T84T-H". Scotty Dive's info says that the 3110 should have a "3T84D" engine and that the 3810 should have a "3T84T". But the engine id plate clearly says 31 HP and 1.4 liter displacement which the Scotty data list as right for the 3110.

The stamping on the housing eluded me at first but the seller pointed it out and made me re-think the conclusion about a 3810-with-turbo-removed-3110. Would the VN refurb have ground off the stamping on a 3810 and re-stamped it with a 3110 serial number? All this is pretty much academic of course but I still find it intriguing. From what everyone has said and the fact that there is only 7 HP and 20 pounds difference in total weight of the two models, the difference is the absence of a turbo on the 3110. So I will think of it as a 3110. Heck I may even take off the John Deere decals!

Anyway I sure enjoy the dialog boys so thanks again. :drink:

BTW: Does anybody know what the "-H" on the engine designation means?

Here's your fulid listings.......Use any Diesel rated oil 6.8 qts... Hyd 5.8 QTS . of any brand as long as it meets JD 303 specs. Some have used auto transmission fluid.. You can order your filters from any of the dealers here or you can go to the parts store & buy filters for a yanmar 336 tractor

I would think the hydraulic would be closer to 5.8 gallons. ;)

View attachment 336D wiring diagram0001.pdfI believe this 336 Dia. should be real close to the 3110. Never the less my bet it may come in handy one day. There will be alot of options/wiring that will be the same.

Thanks for the diagram Carey. Can you describe the manual it came out of? It is similar to the one in my I&T YM-1 manual but not identical. So there are obviously at least 2 different manuals in circulation. Can you tell me who published the manual. It's title, number of pages etc.

Thanks again
