I'm trying to find torque specs for water pump for Yanmar 2000. I've searched through the forums and couldn't find this info, but I'm new so I could have missed it! :) Thanks in advance!

Just Google "Metric bolt torque value" and there are charts that show the torque. Hard part is figuring out what size bolt you have. You can Google "How to tell Metric bolt sizes" for that.

I think those will be 8mm bolts. 17-22 ft lbs for grade 7t, 45-52 for grade 11t. I would use goodntight on water pump bolts. :D

Im with winston, i would just snug them and then a bit more, but not ring them off tight but not so loose that they leak. I have replaced many a water pump and honestly never torqued a one. NOt saying it is right but for that application i dont think i would torque them.

I have done quite a bit of work and never had a problem not torqueing.

That converts to 19 ft lbs.
