Seal that rust on the wheels with Loctite Extend before touching up, and will be a semi-permanent, (looks good, lasts a long time), fix.
Yup, olive oil would work much better, leave wet. We had to go for large volume with diesel.Spray it or wipe it with olive oil, and it will shine up for the pictures. That may bring more buyers, and a fresh spray before they get there so it smells good.
Ok, I'm just thinking out loud here and haven't come to any decisions. I'm still leaning toward putting all the effort toward composing a nice photo as suggested, instead of starting appearance renovation.Seal that rust on the wheels with Loctite Extend before touching up, and will be a semi-permanent, (looks good, lasts a long time), fix.
....a red that is a near-perfect color match....
Rustoleum Gloss Protective EnamelDo you know off-hand what color that is?
No, you're just a step ahead of me. I don't know how to remove wax or oil; I just recognize that this step is important.I must be missing a lot here. How is removing olive oil any different than removing wax to prep for a paint job? Rustoleum has a cream-colored paint that will perfectly match your wheels for a quick touch up.
