A few months ago I had a guy that would call and bug me (I mean that in a nice way Mark /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) about dozens of little cosmetic parts. Lots of those little pieces that are kind of hard to find like reflectors, decals, boots, knobs, etc. After a few calls I asked him what he was doing because no one ever bought that many of those kinds of parts. He was restoring a few Yanmar tractors. He sent me some pictures of what he is doing and, with his permission, I though I'd post them here. I don't normally like to send business to a competitor, especially one that lives so close to us, but he really does very nice work.

I have a ton of more pictures if anyone one is interested. I think he has a YM1401, 1610, and 1601 right now.

WOW!!!!

That is some kind of job, and I'm digging the blue and red paint.

Aaron....Well that was almost embarassing......almost. To say restored is almost true....everything is back to factory standards (as humanly possible) but the color is diffinently not. I had to draw the line....It is the only thing about Yanmars I never really cared for, the green anyway.

Thanks for the plug and hope people enjoy...regards, Mark

Mark, I noticed in the one closeup of the cockpit area that your shift lever is missing the insert. A good replacement for that is a chrome "hole cover", carried by HD and Lowes, etc., with the tabs cut off and epoxied on the knob. They have all sizes. Looks good and stays on.
