1610d
Can some one tell me how much oil a 1610d holds? my manual says 3.6 qts.
that doesn`t seem like very much for a diesel engine.

Re: 1610d
I have a 1700 and the manual states 1 gallon. That is probably about right. Next time you change the oil put in 3.6 quarts and check it before you start it. Of course that does not take into account filling the oil filter

Re: 1610d
My manual says the same. I thought I had the capacity written down some where but can't remember where. That sounds about right though, the filter # is NAPA 1064 or PH3593A Fram.

Re: 1610d
Why not just fill it up, whatever it takes?

Re: 1610d
My 1510D takes 1 gallon of oil. Since your manual says 3.6 quarts, I would put that in and then check it. Add more if needed.

Re: 1610d
Thanks everybody, I just put the gallon in yesterday and stick was hard to see, almost dark. I checked it this morning and it was about 1/2 qt high, so that is close enough.
