Hi Folks,
I had an oil leak on my 2810 this past weekend. The oil level sight level indicator on the rear end was leaking. I grabbed it and it was real loose and I was able to pull it out with my fingers. I glad I noticed the oil leak it when it was sitting in the shed not out in the field! The sight glass is made of plastic and has a rubber sleeve around it (not a o-ring) and looks as it may have had gray type of adhesive on the edge. My old one does not fit tight in the hole on the rear end. The hole is a smooth machined hole. I have a new sight glass ordered but will not probably have it until Thursday, probably Friday due to the July 4th holiday. The dealer suggested I out some silicone gasket sealer on the old one (clean it and the hole first) and re-install. Any ideas? I know the silicone gasket sealer is good stuff but I sure would like to make sure it or the new one does not come loose again.
Thanks
