On the surface, Bobcat's compact tractor line appear to be solid and very value-priced compared to other lines of tractors, notably JD. However, with less than 10 hours on my tractor, it would not start.
After much anguish and potential remedies (including a new control box which electronically aligns the seat, brake and PTO switches), a different dealer determined there to be a faulty wiring harness. A nearly brand new tractor had to be re-wired.
The dealer, who was quite helpful, argued with Bobcat's corporate office who wanted them to find the short in the wiring and do a simple splice. The dealer insisted a new tractor should not have a band-aid fix. And, this was the 3rd tractor they'd seen with similar wiring problems. Two calls by me to Bobcat Corporate were never returned.
