Completely by chance, I ran into a somewhat battered and beaten looking Dexta built in 1958. It wasn't particular expensive and the tractor dealer said Dextas were famous for their short turning circle which made this one ideal to work the horse paddock. Smart guy, knowing we have horses, so I bought it and he was right.
It is a lot smaller than the Major but it is a lot more agile. It is strong too, considering it has only 32 hp, it is well capable of handling all the implements I have. It has got live PTO and hydraulics too.
I really like it since it comes from the first owner who never abused it since he always had bigger tractors around. It needs a bit tidying up but other than that it has aged beautifully so the battle scars remain.
