The 460 Utility is just that - a utility tractor which is made to last. The only negative aspect of this tractor is the power steering system. The former owner sold it mainly because the steering was not working. I quickly found out that parts are not readily available and not cheap if the tractor is more than 20 or 30 years old.
The interesting part is that if I had bought the tractor six months earlier than I did the part I needed (power steering piston rack) would have only cost $60. As it was, International raised the price (obsolete/vintage pricing) from $60 to $500 just before I bought the tractor. Live and learn.
I was able to get a part made at a local machine shop for $75 which lasted for over 20 years (just broke again this past summer). A Wagner I-260 loader is mounted on this tractor which has no problem carrying the weight.
