John Deere 330 Diesel with belly mount 50" mower Posted by John - New York on 03/05/2010

Purchased to mow a commercial campground. It has had a lot of use and has held up relatively well. Although I still use the machine, I have replaced it with a Toro Groundsmaster 220D. A much better machine for my application. The JD330's transmission needed to be replaced at about 2500 hours. Expensive! Deck steel is not as thick as commercial machines. We added grease fittings to the deck hubs. Rear axle seals leak and need to be replaced periodically. With the exception of the routine water pump rebuild, the diesel Yanmar engine has been great. I prefer diesels because of their longevity and fuel economy.
