L110 K46 is Not Tough Posted by Eric on 08/15/2013

I use my L110 a lot, to mow to haul a trailer to the dumpster, to drag my driveway. The tractor overall holds up well.

The Kohler engine has never missed a beat. In 250 hour, I changed the plug once (because I used some old dirty gas) and changed the oil at 50 hours (because I am lazy).

But after 8 years of use the K46 tranny got weak and will barely move the tractor up hill and slows down after continuous use.

It is a shame the tractor has held up fine and after 9 years it is all in all in great shape, but without a 700 dollar tranny rebuild or 1,000 dollar upgrade to the K66, it is almost worthless, or at least useless. That kind of money is too much for a 9 year old $1,200 dollar tractor. Spend more money in the first place or buy used and check the tranny. K46 tuff torq is a !WARNING! label.
