Automatic K-46 Transmission in John Deere L110

I like the mower and it runs great. The K-46 automatic transmission sucks. There is no one who can repair it, no parts are available for it, no information on it and John Deere wants over $700.00 to replace it (they have the exclusive from Husqvarna).
