New L4600 and LA 764 FEL Posted by Ron on 04/12/2013

So far I am really enjoying this tractor. This is my first and hopefully last new tractor purchase. I am not a farmer or own acreage but this is used at my 10k acre hunting lease.

Comparing this L4600 to the MF231, or the Long 2610 I had been using previously is night and day. It is so much more comfortable than a older styled tractor. The ergonomics are very nice. The open type station is nice. Everything is in a easy to use place.

I went with the R1 Ag tires instead of the R4 industrial type tires since Im not cutting lawns with it. I purchased it with the LA764 FEL. Very smooth operating and has good lifting power.

The 3 pt hitch works well and responds in small increments. No jumping or jerky 3 pt. as some have posted to watch out for on these models. I will update this review when I get some more hours on it.

REVIEWER'S ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Pros: Comfort , sized nice. Fits on most standard "car hauler" type trailers. Cons: The hydro-stat rocker type fed/rev pedal. It's fine when wearing shoes, but when wearing boots it is not comfortable rocking your ankle back and forth. This is the only thing I would change on this tractor if I could. The side by side fwd/rev pedal on a Deere Hydro are much easier to use when wearing boots, IMO. Type of User: Homeowner 1-10 Acres Location: United States Alabama I also considered buying:
