Hi Muhammed, Per your request I am sending you my evaluation of my Kubota L3800 to date:
I've owned it for 1 year as of April 30, 2013. I have 150 hrs! This is the first I've ever owned, I should have bought one 45 years ago. I'm 66!
Tractor has 66"WOODS FEL with cutting edge L-524, power steering, cruise control, bucket indicator and block heater. Attachments are all County Line (so called): Quick Hitch 84" heavy duty rack, 84" heavy duty grader blade, 72" H.D. Box scraper, and 14" sub soiler.
Plan on purchasing 60" Bush Hog and 72" Agriease snow blower. I have 25 acres divided into 7 house lots that I rent, I'm constantly doing battle with unwanted growth (grass, brush, alders etc.) and 3/4 miles of rough gravel road and drive ways to maintain.
I've destroyed many a plow blade over the past 45+ years. I must say I did pick up a lot of great info reading what all the guys and gals had to say about snow blowing and plowing on gravel roads and driveways. I really enjoy reading all the info.
Now about the tractor itself: I was going to buy a smaller one, but I'm glad I didn't, I was at first a little intimidated by the L3800. However I'm quite satisfied with this size tractor. Smaller would have been too small and larger would have been to large. Once the initial work was done this tractor size is perfect for maintenance with the implements mentioned above.
I have one major dislike and two minor ones:
1) The three point hitch when trying to raise implements incrementally will virtually bounce you out of the seat (not at all good). I've heard this complaint from other people and the dealer readily admits it's a major problem with this tractor.
2) The parking brake , I've driven and worked for long periods of time before realizing it was still in park---not good!
3) Engaging the posi rear end is a real pain, engagement lever is very difficult to hold down with heel of left foot (I plan to modify by welding a plate on L type lever).
Overall if it were not for Item #1, the 3 point hitch issue, I would rate L3800 at 5 stars, however that 3 point hitch issue really bothers me, so I will rate the tractor at 4 1/2 stars.
Hope this evaluation proves helpful. Have a great summer.
