Don't buy a 2wd Posted by Lewis on 06/27/2013

This tractor has too much power for its weight. The hi/low shifter will pop into neutral when you hit a bump. The FEL was useless until we added four rear wheel weights. The 3 pt hitch has design flaws, neither our post hole auger or our backhoe will not fit. A spacer had to be added behind the top link attachment.

No swinging drawbar means our sickle mower will not fit. A drawbar too short means you can not rake hay with it. Flimsy sway chains on the lift mean you can not pick up too much with it, you can not move round hay bales or plow with it. They had to be replaced with chains from an Allis Chalmers.

The light weight mean you can not work the ground with it (plow, disc or scrape). Poor fuel efficiency at high RPMs (540 PTO speed) limits it use baling hay and spreading manure.

The tool box is too small. It has a small fuel tank (13 gal). 2nd gear is too slow, and 3rd gear is too fast for field use.

The step is too high. The PTO went out the first week we had it and was fix under warranty. The differential lock engagement arm is too short and should not be on the same side of the platform as the foot throttle. Proprietary plastic tail light detract from the durability of the tractor. Lastly, its too expensive to be a yard ornament.
