The GC2600 has been a great little tractor.
I have used it for clearing small trees, rotary hoeing, moving soil and fertiliser and slashing fairly heavy tropical grasses.
The diff lock and four wheel drive will tackle anything I have thrown at it.
There are two thing about my tractor that Massey Ferguson needs to address.
The hydraulic operation is extremely harsh.
There is an adjustment to control the speed/rate of the hydraulics lowering, but when using the 4 foot slasher or the rotary hoe the lift is highly aggressive. The whole tractor bounces as the implements raise unless you are EXTREMELY fine with the use of the control.
The other major problem is the engagement of the PTO. Engagement is either on or off. The slasher and rotary hoe both SLAM into operation even when the engine revs are at 900rpm, almost stalling the engine, in an attempt to decrease the frankly, damaging feel when the PTO engages. It seems that damage occurring to the tractor PTO or the implements, is not an IF but more of a WHEN. I am surprised Massey Ferguson hasn't remedied this terrible PTO.
The tractor is great on fuel, very reliable and a joy to use.
My dealer experience is something I have rated as a 1, because the rating didn't go any lower than this. In reality I would have given the dealer a minus 5.
