Found a sound-looking machine, and after checking lubrication, replacing old fuel/coolant, stuck in a battery and cranked? The creature surprised me. It roared to life on the second turn. After breathing out some smelly black smoke, it settled down to a steady panting.
Sprayed generous amounts of WD40 to free up the frozen levers controls for PTO and Hydraulics. You guessed it---they worked. Considering the hard times (plowing the clay) like soil over the years as a youth in a damp tropical island on the northern border of Venezuela [Trinidad].
It will need some work. I bought it "as is where is" from a retired farmer. No electrical gauges work, the charging system is out and electrical system is dead. Loose wires hanging everywhere. There is normal to severe wear everywhere. I could find no significant oil leaks on the machine.
I own dump trucks and I purchased this machine to be used almost exclusively to do brush cutting on undulating pasture surfaces. I know I will need all the help I can get in the coming weeks and months ahead.
