2005 New Holland TC35A Posted by Stacey Kazacos on 11/14/2013

We bought this tractor with 35 hours on it in 2008 and have had very good luck with it. The build quality is high and the engine is "bulletproof." Our model is the shuttle shift (4 speed manual shift with different gear ranges).

Our main uses of the tractor: moving shale and mulch around the property with the front end loader (FEL); cutting grass with a pull behind NH finish mower, bush hogging, and building trails.

One nit I will bring up is the need to have space for a tool box. I have to juggle when taking tools from the garage to a work area or just put them in the FEL (and yes, a friend told me that it is possible to forget the tools are in there....).

The manual transmission shifts hard compared to a car. The lever to go from 2x4 to 4x4 sometimes presents a wrestling match---even with plenty of oil applied. I have learned to gently/slowly move the tractor in reverse and then move the lever if it is stuck.
