Snapper ProS50X ( S50XKAV2036 ) Posted by Ed Wilkowski on 04/08/2010

I recently purchased this mower to replace a 10 year old 46" Craftsman lawn tractor. Due to the numerous obstacles, I needed a deck smaller than 46".

I did a ton of research and tire kicking and ended up buying the Snapper Pro. The dealer also sold X-Mark and Grasshopper but I was most impressed with the Snapper. I was also looking for the Kawasaki engine (20HP). Every seems to agree that the Kawasaki is the best motor to have in a ZTR. I had the engine ago in a JD GT275 and in my current JD push mover and I would have to agree with the comments.

The deck on the S50X is small but the frame is scaled down to accommodate it and it fits well in my garage.
The build quality is excellent and all the components seems to be very durable.

Another nice feature is that the mower it will fit through the opening in a gated yard.

The quality of the cut and the maneuverability are excellent.
