A Tractor For Any Slope Posted by Ardy on 08/06/2012

Hi All,

I live in an area called The Slopes and this tractor is perfect. Instead of backing a normal tractor up and down 45 degree areas I go across them saving a lot of time. It has plenty of go in it (70 hp) for what I use it for and with a Perkins diesel, it is very reliable.

Doesn't get as much use as it should as I only slash paddocks and pull out weed trees. It has been great for me, the last tractor I owned, a Ferguson, was a pain to light up.

If you don't know, these tractors have a seat that swings round so you can drive them forwards and backwards, when going backwards watch out for radiator input getting clogged can be VERY expensive I am told to fix a over heated engine.

With 16 forward and reverse gears they are a flexible unit. If you own an orchard or are living on a small acreage I can recommend this tractor. I will miss it as we are planning to move to a smaller acreage and won't need this any more.
