Second attempt and it works, 4" pipe looked pretty big until it was in the yard, if I built another one it would be 6" pipe, to keep the bearings farther off the ground.

Is that from Kubota or someone else?

Hi Matthew, I built the striper. I priced a Stiener 60" deck roller and it was $150 for just the roller no bearings or framework, so I decided to build the roller to.

tnmx, a lawn striper is any means that lays the grass blades over in the direction of travel, and when you mow back and forth this causes the light and dark strips from the reflection of light. Some mowers like the stiener's have a large roller on the back of the mower deck, but others, like the decks on the Kubota's do not have a full lenght roller. So we have to make other ways of laying the grass blades over. This is how they make the fairways on good golf courses look so good. I don't beleive there is any benifit to the turf,by striping it, just makes it look better. I hope this helps you out. Scott

Hey, nice job on the roller lawn striper. Where did you get the roller part? Does it have bearings? I want to build one to mount on my bagger for a BX2230, but I havn't found a good roller yet.
Thanks
